2010-jun-22I called it psychological inertia since it resembles the way mechanics work. Let's say you're about to buy something. You place an order for the product. And in the last moment someone informs you that it is not so sure that this product fits your needs. You get stressed because you already ordered it. At that moment you still have the chance to cancel the order, but you won't. You just can't stop; you have to finish what you began. Either if things like this happen because of consciousness issues or selfindulgence, the result is the same: the person begins something that should be ended at one point, but he/she will take it till the end because of some sort of inertia. I guess very few people can prove that they don't have to go through this periodically.
